Under the directives of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Gov Games 2021 set to return on December 9th

Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, Gov Games the unique government team-building initiative is set to return for its third edition on December 9 until 11, 2021. This is in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai to implement the gradual return to normal life and an affirmation of Dubai’s exemplary capabilities in crisis management.

In an exceptional version, the Gov Games’ third edition is adding a new category for the community allowing citizens and residents in the UAE to take part in the games alongside the category of government entities. The competition emphasizes the importance of promoting teamwork, spreading positive spirit to achieve success, and enhancing camaraderie between teams.

Marwan Bin Essa, Director of Gov Games, said: “Under the directives of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, we are pleased to announce the third edition of Gov Games, which will be held from December 9 to 11 this year. We are pleased to announce the all-new category for the community members coming from across the UAE participating in the exciting challenges. This addition comes in response to members of the community who attended the previous sessions and demanded to have similar tournament for non-government employees. The polls showed the keenness of the public to participate in the games, which are aimed at boosting the enthusiasm and spirit of competition among participants as well as the members of the community.”

“Furthermore, this year’s challenges are going to take place within the Dubai Design District (D3), known to be one of the most vibrant districts in Dubai, a hub for many people from various nationalities,” added Marwan.

He emphasized the organizing committee is commitment to implement the safety and precautionary measures approved by Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management to ensure the health and wellbeing of participating teams and the audience. The team is prepared to deliver a best in class and successful sports competition just like the previous Gov Games editions, which had remarkable participation from local, regional, and international teams.

Registration

The organizing committee announced the commencement of the registration for participants from local and federal government entities as well as the community from 12th November 2021 till the 30th of October 2021. More information can be found on the website www.govgames.ae .

Community category has its own flavor, and to increase the level of excitement and competition, all registered teams will be participating in a pre-qualifying race. Qualified teams will then participate in the event in December.
